I was talking to my brother the other day – my younger Douglas who lives in Long Beach – about visiting him out there at the end of this month for my birthday, for about a week. I am planning on heading out there towards the last weekend in February, and I will be staying, I think, for about seven days. Doug even told me that there are some great spots on the beach where they allow you to bring your camping gear and stay over night. He said that he would look into beach outdoors sports camping for me and see if there were any spots nearby where he lived that he could reserve so that we could take our camping gear and enjoy the ocean at night, the views, and each other’s company. I have never been camping on a beach before, so you can bet that the offer sounds quite enticing to me. I hope that he is able to get a site reserved for us, because that would just make my whole trip that much more awesome! Perhaps beach camping will be on the agenda this month in California for me!
